Period filming for the Sir John Monash Media Centre, near Villers Bretonneux in France, took place in Oamaru 2017.  Australian production company Wild Bear Entertainment spent a week in the town, utilizing local crew and nearly 100 local actors and extras for footage for this multimedia experience.  A Stone’s Throw Productions assisted with local location scouting, bookings, on-location production and art department assistants, and local casting.
